David Banks is the chief strategy and organizational transformation officer and senior executive vice president. In this role, he oversees the strategic vision and provides oversight to the acceleration and performance of AdventHealth’s transformation agenda.
David is also responsible for strategic planning, marketing, communications, innovation, and branding. In addition, he serves as the divisional leader for AdventHealth’s managed population risk strategies.
Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief strategy officer for AdventHealth hospitals throughout Florida. Banks has also held positions as administrator for AdventHealth Celebration (formally Florida Hospital Celebration Health) and AdventHealth Kissimmee (formally Florida Hospital Kissimmee), senior vice president of multi-campus administration for AdventHealth campuses in Central Florida and administrator for AdventHealth Orlando (formally Florida Hospital Orlando).
Banks earned a master’s degree in nonprofit administration from the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland, and a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Union College. He serves on the boards of Adventist Health, WholeLife Church and Health First. He is also an active participant in AdventHealth’s community involvement program, which supports several nonprofits in Central Florida. In the past, he has served as co-chair of the executive board for the American Heart Association of Central Florida, chairman for Community Vision and on the board of YMCA of Central Florida.
