Operational VP, Center for Health Delivery Innovation, Nemours Children’s Health System

Carey Officer is the Operational Vice President of Nemours’ Center for Health Delivery Innovation at Nemours Children’s Health System where she provides critical leadership for a team that develops digital tools, creates content and designs processes that focus on making healthcare simpler through effective and efficient communication, innovative care delivery and frictionless transaction processes making the consumer experience a priority. She led the launch of the telehealth program in 2015, which now is offered in more than 50+ specialties across the enterprise.

Nemours is an integrated children’s health system with two freestanding hospitals, 90 pediatric and specialty care locations in Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and a leader in providing digital health services and support to its affiliated hospital partners, physician practices and for emergency transport.

Carey joined Nemours in 2011 as a Senior Strategic Financial Planning Consultant. Carey has more than 19 years of experience in the health care industry, including strategy, financial and operational consulting serving large not-for-profit and for-profit health care systems. Carey received her bachelors’ degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
