Chris Kay

Former Chief Innovation Officer, Humana

Chris Kay is a seasoned healthcare and financial services executive. Until recently Chris was Humana’s Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer.  In that role, Kay reported to President and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Broussard and was a member of the Management Team.  During his time there, Chris and his team built new health and consumer oriented platforms and services that will deliver over $1B in medical cost savings over the next 3 years. Prior to Humana, Chris was CEO of Citi Ventures, Citi’s global innovation and venturing team, where he led Citi’s efforts to leverage tech and data enabled services to scale existing and new businesses.  Chris also spent 12 years as an executive at Target, where he led the P&L of Target’s largest businesses. Chris has served on a variety of start-up boards, and currently is an advisor to leading healthcare and fintech companies.  Chris is a keen innovator with a passion for creating new businesses in large global organizations and for launching products and services that enhance the consumer experience. Chris holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in French and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
