Frank is the CEO of Tandigm Health, one of the nation’s largest risk-bearing population health management companies. The company manages major commercial and Medicare Advantage populations with a combination of technology, care insights, and clinical services designed to support a network of more than 400 primary care doctors.
As a CEO and board member, Frank has had broad exposure to the full range of major information technologies and to payer, provider, pharma, and consumer perspectives on the U.S. healthcare system. In healthcare, Frank is best known as a pioneer in value-based or accountable care. Recruited by venture capitalist John Doerr, he served as CEO of St. Louis’ Essence Healthcare from 2007 to 2012. At Essence, he grew the Medicare Advantage plan to more than a half billion in premium revenue and a coveted 5-Star rating, while founding and spinning off Lumeris, rated the number one KLAS vendor in Population Health Management services.
Prior to his service in healthcare, Frank ran the Lotus PC spreadsheet division, developed the Lotus Notes marketing campaign, was CEO of remote access vendor Shiva, and served on the boards of Microstrategy, Sybase, and Powersoft.
He was named the U.S. “Best Private Company CEO” by Upside magazine in 1994 and was a two-time regional finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. As CEO of Shiva Corporation from 1993-1998, he led a highly successful IPO underwritten by Goldman Sachs and Cowen, maintaining a multi-billion-dollar market cap and providing outstanding investor returns.
