Jacob is a PhD Epidemiologist focused on data-driven, patient-centric technology solutions. Jacob is a World Economic Forum Young Global Shaper and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, technical papers and contributed articles. Jacob was previously Product Manager at RunKeeper, a leading mobile/web health and fitness platform. Prior to that, he was the Director of Research and Strategy at Dossia, an employer-driven health IT initiative. He previously championed the importance of physical activity to the brain and learning at the nonprofit The Ratey Institute, lectured in the Department of Physical Activity and Health Science at UMass Boston, and interned with the Global Strategy on Diet, Physical Activity and Health at the World Health Organization. Jacob holds a doctorate in Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health, where his research focused on lifestyle behaviors and cardiovascular health. Jacob completed a Masters in Physiology, with distinction, at the University of Oxford (Exeter College) and holds a BA in Neurobiology from Harvard University.
