Kirti Mutakar

Kirti Mutatkar is a forward-thinking leader passionate about making high quality, innovative, and affordable health care accessible to the agricultural community of California and Arizona. Under Kirti’s leadership, UnitedAg, a $230 million association health plan, is empowering its members and employer groups to take a unique, empathetic, and collaborative approach in working together to provide new and innovative approaches to health care. Through this revolutionary thinking, Kirti has been able to cultivate a deeper understanding, that comes through truly working with, and understanding, the members, their needs, and the industry. Her tireless on-going effort to engage with the members by visiting them in the field, providing informational forums throughout the state, and eagerly leaving her door open for this on-going dialogue about their concerns, issues, perspectives and developing solutions based on these multiple voices. This exceptional approach has created a new fabric in the agricultural industry and will ensure that UnitedAg continues to deliver the highest quality service for its members and the industry.

Kirti joined UnitedAg in 2001 and served as the Chief Financial Officer for 10 years. As CFO, Kirti directed all operations of the organization, was instrumental in a complete company reorganization, launched a Third Party Administration division, and developed a business plan to strategically prepare UnitedAg for the impact of the Affordable Care Act in 2014.

She holds master’s degrees in both finance and microbiology and rounded out her studies by completing the UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Program. Kirti currently serves as Vice Chair for Health Care Administrators Association (HCAA), Board Member for the Agricultural Council of California, and Director at Large for AgSafe. Kirti was nominated by the Orange County Business Journal for the 2018 “Women of the Year Awards” and was Awarded the “Reinvention” Award by the Association of Corporate Growth in Orange County.
