Monisha is a Senior Partner in McKinsey’s Health Systems and Services (HSS) practice, based in the Silicon Valley. She leads the firm’s Payor Practice for North America. Monisha has served regional and national health plans, providers, PE, and retail pharmacies across all lines of business. Monisha focuses on helping players in the healthcare ecosystem navigate their changing landscape through M&A, partnerships, growth, value-based care, payor-provider collaboration, transformation, and cross-channel innovation.

Monisha has led client impact across the healthcare sector:

  • Driven partnership/M&A across payors, providers, PE in a rapidly consolidating healthcare environment, including multiple efforts with payors expanding into care delivery
  • Turned around Government and Commercial businesses for large payors, delivering >$5B in value, reducing attrition by 60%, and building enduring client capability
  • Aligned incumbents and innovators to design and launch new market models on member engagement, experience, provider engagement, growth
  • Defined and executed end-to-end product strategies for healthcare payors, including supplemental benefit offerings and provider payment models to improve the health and experience of targeted populations – women, children, elderly, etc.
