EVP & President, U.S. Healthcare, Walgreens Boots Alliance

Mary Langowski is Executive Vice President and President, U.S. Healthcare at Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. In this role, Langowski leads WBA’s U.S. Healthcare business segment as the Company expands its role in healthcare, building on its strengths in pharmacy and bringing high-value solutions to industry players, including payers, health systems, PBMs and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

A nationally recognized healthcare leader, Langowski brings a successful track record of building and driving commercially successful initiatives, businesses and partnerships that improve patient outcomes, lower costs and unlock profitability within new models of care. Her decades of experience span payer organizations, pharmacy, retail healthcare services and providers as well as senior roles in federal and state government.

Prior to joining WBA in March 2024, Langowski served as chief executive officer of Solera Health, a leading value-based technology business serving payers and employers. She was appointed CEO after serving as Solera Health’s independent board director, and successfully transformed the company with the launch of new condition product lines, a new technology platform and a new economic model to support sustained growth in the business.

Langowski previously served as executive vice president and chief strategy and corporate development officer at CVS Health, where she helped lead the organization’s evolution and execution as a healthcare company, leading the foundational work for its healthcare services strategy and key aspects of CVS’ acquisition of Aetna.

She has served in both state and federal government in senior positions and has extensive policy experience, has created new healthcare payment models, and designed and successfully advocated for several legislative and regulatory improvements to enable better healthcare innovation and value-based care.

As a partner in one of the largest law firms in the world, Langowski led the U.S. Health team and Global Food Sector, and advised multinational, F50 and emerging growth companies on M&A, IPO and global government strategies, including leading work on multiple high-profile healthcare services and pharmaceutical transactions.

She holds B.A. and M.P.A degrees from Drake University and a J.D. With Honors from the University of Iowa College of Law.
