CEO, Optum Specialty Pharmacy

Erin’s passion to drive positive change in healthcare goes as far back as she can remember. As both a patient and advocate, where the calling to create a more empathetic and effective healthcare experience has been her life’s work. Today she leads Optum’s Specialty Pharmacy businesses, serving the Oncology, Immunology, Neurology and Rare Disease biopharmaceutical marketplace with market leading digital tools and  engagement. Previously, Erin led organizations at Bayer Healthcare, 3M Company and Blue Cross Blue Shield to drive innovation and commercialize new products and services across consumer and professional health care. Erin has six issued patents and has authored multiple publications. She attended the University of Minnesota for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biochemistry and biological science,  respectively. She is involved in Special Olympics, and a board member for Clal, a New York based think-tank and innovation incubator.
