The Health Evolution Impact Circle is an intimate gathering of progressive leaders to focus on critical issues through candid peer exchanges designed to leverage their deep expertise and change the course of our industry’s future.

“The Summit’s Impact Circle is designed for CEOs of large payer, provider and life science organizations to share both their inspiration as well as their challenges to collaborate on an improved health care system for the future,” says Nicole Garratt, SVP of Content and Research at Health Evolution.

This year’s Impact Circle will focus on hot button issues such as price transparency, election year policies and more. Rod Hochman, President & CEO, Providence St. Joseph Health and Paul Markovich of Blue Shield of California will kick off a discussion among CEOs of payer and provider organizations to share approaches and challenges in addressing CMS’s price transparency initiative.

After that, David Cohen, EVP and Chief Diversity Officer of Comcast, will share consumer insights from media and telecommunications that are increasingly relevant as the health care industry responds to consumer preferences and demands for convenience. The discussion of payer, provider and life science CEOs will be co-chaired by Dan Hilferty, President and CEO of Independence Blue Cross and Andrea Walsh, President and CEO of HealthPartners.

During lunch, Impact Circle will serve up a hearty discussion on election year politics. HHS Deputy Secretary Eric Hargan will join a discussion co-hosted by Mark McClellan, MD, Director and Robert J. Margolis, Professor, of Business, Medicine and Health Policy at Duke University and Andy Slavitt, Chairman United States of Care and former CMS Administrator, on policy implications in an election year, including drug pricing and payment reform, data sharing, innovation in Medicaid, initiatives in regulatory relief and scenario planning for Medicare for All.

Closing out the Impact Circle, Mark Ganz, President and CEO of Cambia Health Solutions and Steve Corwin, MD, President and CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian will share initiatives and insights about addressing the health care cost crisis and efforts to drive cost out of the system to deliver on promises of high quality and affordability.  This exchange will be followed by intimate roundtable discussions of CEOs sharing experiences and strategies about cost and affordability.
