The Health Evolution community is committed to examining how we can design and adopt new incentive models that yield long-term value—and unpacking the strategic implications for leaders across the health care ecosystem. We advance this critical work through dynamic discussions at our Summit and Connect gatherings, as well as two standing Forum Roundtables that meet throughout the year, Value-Based Care for Specialized Populations and Transforming Health Care Economics. Within those Roundtables, major areas of inquiry currently include:
- How do leaders navigate the impact of policy changes and economic uncertainty on the value-based care landscape and identify opportunities for continued success and growth in value-based specialty care?
- How can the health care ecosystem collaborate and innovate to achieve a more affordable and financially sustainable future?
Additionally, the Roundtable on Commercial Risk-Based Contracting completed its efforts in 2023 to help advance adoption of VBP arrangements with downside risk and produced the report, Designing Win-Win Commercial Risk-Based Contracts. This report outlines leaders’ findings from the effort, as well as their recommendations to make the contracting process for commercial VBP arrangements with downside risk more predictable and common and to encourage the industry to adopt contracts that incentivize providing high-quality, whole-person care at a sustainable cost.
