From AI Chaos to Clarity: Transforming Data into a Strategic Asset for Patient-Centric Care
Level 3, Lionel
Hosted by Medecision | Facilitated by Kenneth Young, President & CEO, Medecision, with industry leaders Katherine Schneider, MD, CEO, Two Canoes Health, LLC, Michael Vennera, EVP, Chief Strategy, Corporate Development, and Information Officer, Independence Blue Cross, and Kim Victory, Healthcare & Life Sciences Director, Google

As health care witnesses unprecedented advancements in data, AI, and large language models, it’s imperative that executives at this brink of technological revolution ask: are we prioritizing the right data for truly person-centric care, or are we losing focus amidst the surge of information and AI-related developments?

Facing an AI-powered future means this is a critical time to reassess current practices and assumptions around data utilization. Leaders need to prioritize responsible and ethical use of that information and refine approaches to ensure organizations focus on the right data. Achieving that will require leaders to outline tangible steps toward more person-centric models of care based on relevant data and to ultimately reorient the current focus from systems to human beings.

Bridging the Gap Between Behavioral & Mental Health: Removing Payment Barriers & De-Siloing Delivery
Level 3, Golden Eagle B
Hosted by Bamboo Health | Facilitated by Nishi Rawat, MD, Chief Clinical Officer, Bamboo Health, with industry leaders Virna Little, Co-founder & Chief Clinical Officer, Concert Health, Ravi Kavasery, MD, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Blue Shield of California, and  Lynn Simon, MD, President, Healthcare Innovation & Chief Medical Officer, Community Health Systems, and additional discussion leader TBA

We are facing rapidly growing mental health and substance use crises, with drug overdose rates nearly doubling over five years and rates of anxiety, depression and other mental illnesses rapidly rising as well. Despite efforts to improve regulations and identify solutions, many traditional care paths still have gaps. Namely, these gaps are caused by the fact that our country still treats physical and behavioral health separately, which creates silos across the health care industry. In this session, we will explore the importance of whole person care, and how we can begin to de-silo the two through payment models, the use of technology and reducing behavioral health stigma.

Merchandising Health Care: Proven Consumer Strategies that Move the Needle
Level 3, Golden Eagle A
Hosted by DexCare | Facilitated by Derek Streat, Co- Founder & CEO, DexCare, with industry leaders Jeanine Maier, VP, Consumer Experience, Kaiser Permanente, Vickie White, Chief Brand & Consumer Officer, AdventHealth, and Winjie Tang Miao, SEVP & COO, Texas Health Resources

With a vast array of new care options right at their fingertips, a growing number of healthcare consumers have become “free agents”. They expect convenient, accessible, and mobile-friendly experiences – the standards set by e-commerce leaders, but slower to mainstream in medicine. Leading providers aren’t surrendering today’s tech-savvy patient; they are differentiating by adopting digital approaches to attract consumers and drive growth.

Merchandising care is a strategic approach that borrows from e-commerce best practices and offers a frictionless experience to best-fit care options across available channels and settings. In this session, industry leaders will share real examples, direct from the front lines, how their organizations are leveraging merchandising techniques to create experiences that both delight consumers and lead to system growth.

Dynamic Disruption: Assembling the Health System of the Future
Level 3, Lionel
Hosted by Ziegler | Facilitated by Neil Borg, Senior Managing Director, Ziegler, with industry leaders Taylor Hamilton, Chief Consumer Officer, Ballad Health, Roger Jansen, PhD, Chief Strategic Growth Officer, MSU Health Care, and Paul Kusserow, Chairman, Amedisys Home Health & Hospice

Health systems remain crucial for care access in the US, but their performance is often criticized for inefficiencies, outdated facilities, labor/staffing issues, and high costs. The provider competition demands that hospitals leverage their market strength beyond innovation in acute care delivery, specialty care, technology usage, and R&D. This panel will lean into a discussion for health systems taking a proactive, leadership role in advancing their existing capabilities and market presence. By leveraging / investing in key ancillary businesses, driving collaboration amongst a comprehensive set of stakeholders, and utilizing community engagement and transparency, health systems are in the position to drive long-term disruptive enhancements to their local health care ecosystems and potentially even on a national level though capitalizing on specific areas of excellence. Hospitals possible consistent stature in the community should empower them to drive long-term (not fly by night) impactful change to collaborative care models, access to high-quality, cost-efficient care for those in need, and importantly, the types of partnerships possible between existing and new market entrants.

Unlock Value: Integrating Specialty Providers into Total Cost of Care
Level 3, Golden Eagle B
Hosted by Enlace Health | Facilitated by Bill Nordmark, CEO, Enlace Health, with industry leaders Ravi Kavasery, MD, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Blue Shield of California, Maureen Suhr, SVP, Clinical Operations, ViewFi, and Andrew Watson, MD, Chief Medical Digital Health Officer, UPMC Health Plan

What if we could transform healthcare through a comprehensive approach to total cost of care with specialty providers? It is achievable. It starts with a paradigm shift that’s made possible through collaboration between PCPs and specialists.

How Value-Based Care & Payer Solutions are Advancing Health Equity Strategies
Level 3, Golden Eagle B
Hosted by Interwell Health | Facilitated by Daymon Smith, Chief Product & Technology Officer, Interwell Health, with industry leaders Carmen Peralta, MD, Chief Clinical Officer, Interwell Health, and Amit Shah, MD, Chief Medical Officer, CareOregon

Minority communities are often disproportionately impacted by specialty diseases because of the barriers they face, which often amplify the negative effects they face. While the complexity of these diseases and diverse patient population pose challenges, value-based care emerges as a promising solution. By considering the whole patient rather than just their disease, this concept empowers all payers to improve patient outcomes and address health disparities at the individual and population levels within their member base.

In addition, a value-based approach has proven to effectively control costs. For example, about 1 out of 5 dollars spent by Medicare every year is related to kidney disease, and the impact on private payers is just as challenging. But by combining the power of deep collaboration, analytics, partnerships with physicians, and a new holistic, full-patient approach, value-based health care enables better management of disease progression and reduces hospitalizations.

The Expanding Role of the Pharmacist in Delivering Community-Based Health Care
